To mark the thousand-year celebration of the Abbey of Montserrat, this autumn the Millennial Sustainable Talks Series is being launched. This initiative seeks to reinforce Montserrat’s role as a beacon of spirituality, knowledge, and ecological transition, while highlighting the sanctuary’s sustainability and innovation projects.
Organised jointly by the Abbey of Montserrat and WATTEGA, the series consists of three thematic days open to professionals from diverse fields who promote sustainability and innovation within businesses, administrations, universities, and research centres.
Workshop dates are:
1 October: Energy
29 October: Water
27 November: Smart
All sessions will take place in Montserrat, in a morning format that combines expert presentations, dynamic workshops, visits to emblematic spaces, and professional networking opportunities.
This series aims to:
Continue the millennium objectives through sustainability.
Explain the current status of the Abbey in this field.
Generate shared knowledge among strategic sectors.
Foster reflection on the future of the territory and Montserrat’s role as a Smart Sanctuary.
The experience will be enriched by the participation of key sponsors such as Veolia-Agbar, Daikin, Fes-Controls, Grundfos, IMI Hydronic, and Schneider Electric, along with the institutional support of the Patronat de la Muntanya de Montserrat and the special collaboration of the Aeri de Montserrat, which will provide sustainable and immersive access to the area.
The series is a unique opportunity to understand how innovation can coexist with heritage and nature, and how, through Montserrat’s experience, we can envision the future of our territory.
