The seminar "Necessary Evolution in CAE Certificates: Growing Requirements for Savings Verification" will explore the evolution of the CAE (Energy Savings Certificate) ecosystem and the increasing obligation to justify savings in a practical manner, always based on baseline measurements using certified calibrated analyzers. The event is co-organized by Circutor, the Efficient Energy Cluster of Catalonia (CEEC), and the Catalan Chambers of Commerce, and will take place on March 18th at Circutor’s headquarters.
The session will focus on the evolution of the CAE system since 2023 and its status in 2026, highlighting the progressive modification of standard CAE certificates which now require savings in kWh/year and operating hours adaptable to each specific case. Additionally, the seminar will cover key aspects such as:
The evolution of CAE certificate applications by sector in Catalonia and Spain.
How the requirement for measurement verification has impacted the processing of CAE certificates.
The requirement to use calibrated network analyzers (fixed and portable) for baseline measurements.
