On 28 October, the Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC) is organising, together with Cuatrecasas for the first time, a conference to address one of today's major challenges: how to make rapid, viable and legally sound decarbonisation possible.
In the current climate transition landscape, decarbonisation is no longer a distant objective but has become an imperative for business resilience and economic competitiveness. Catalonia faces the challenge of integrating new business models and financial tools into a transformation that must not only be rapid, but also viable and legally sound.
The complexity of this transformation lies in the convergence of three critical drivers:
New market players and products: The emergence of disruptive solutions and new actors, such as energy communities and aggregators, which are reshaping a historically rigid market into a more flexible and participatory ecosystem.
Financing: The ability to mobilise capital and develop robust investment structures that enable technological projects to scale up and turn the energy transition into reality.
Economic regulation: The design of public policies and clear regulatory frameworks that provide the legal certainty needed to attract investment while safeguarding the country's strategic interests and competitiveness.
This conference stems from the strategic partnership between Cuatrecasas and the Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC) to provide business leaders and decision-makers with a clear roadmap. It is not simply about discussing new trends, but about understanding how the triangle of "Innovation, Investment and Law" is the only way to deliver a genuine, affordable and competitive transition.
