Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya continues to grow with the addition of three new members that have joined the cluster in recent weeks: Oxhyd Energy, HakaGerodur AG and PolarNetZero.
Oxhyd Energy is a technology start-up established in Barcelona as a spin-off from the Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya (IREC) and the Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats (ICREA). The company was created with the aim of transforming the generation, use and storage of renewable hydrogen in order to accelerate the decarbonisation of the industrial sector on a global scale.
The company commercialises solid oxide ceramic device technology manufactured through 3D printing, enabling the development of energy systems with high power density and a significant reduction in material consumption.
The second company joining the CEEC is HakaGerodur AG, a company specialised in the manufacture of geothermal probes and the promotion of geothermal solutions aimed at efficient and sustainable building climate control.
The company focuses its activity on innovation, quality and the development of solutions tailored to clients’ needs, while also providing technical support and guidance throughout all stages of projects.
The latest member to join the cluster is PolarNetZero. , a company specialised in energy monitoring and the quantification of the environmental and social impact of projects linked to the energy transition.
Its services include analysing, assessing and continuously improving, in a rigorous and efficient manner, the positive impact generated by energy infrastructures from an environmental, social and governance perspective.
