Circutor has celebrated its 50th anniversary with an institutional gala with authorities, people from all the Group companies -Circutor, Circontrol, Dezac, Intercap, Zurc, Disibeint and Aplitech-, national and international collaborators, and different entities and associations in the energy sector. The event, the last of a year full of celebrations that the business group has carried out on the occasion of this half century of history, has included speeches, live music, gifts and prizes.

The first to address the attendees was Circutor's CEO, Núria Comellas, who emphasized that "we are celebrating 50 years of history, but above all we want to celebrate the great future of opportunities we have ahead". Comellas assured that what has made it possible for the company to be where it is "is the commitment and enthusiasm of many people, who have worked hard and who have felt the company as their own". Comellas also referred to his father from whom he highlighted his role as a "great businessman" and from whom he was able to learn.

The future is very present in the vision of the new management of Circutor, who points out that the company is a key piece in the energy transition: "We have an encouraging challenge. We are in a key sector for the future. It is a sector in constant transformation and this opens the door to many opportunities to continue innovating, growing and advancing with the vision of the future that has always characterized us", said Nuria Comellas.

The other CEO, Joan Comellas, later addressed the audience, emphasizing that "we cannot talk about the future without remembering where we come from and who we are". Comellas wanted to highlight that "a company is differentiated by its ability to adapt to change", something crucial in a market like that of electrical energy, which changes at a dizzying pace. Faced with this scenario, the most important thing is, according to Joan Comellas, "to see the changes as opportunities".

Both CEOs agree to maintain their firm commitment to innovation, internationalization and, above all, talent and people.

Ramon Comellas, president and founder of Circutor, made a very emotional speech in which he wanted to recall the great collaboration alliance that the company has built over the years with its customers and collaborators: "It has of knowing what customers want. If you know what their problem is, you know what to do to fix it. Many of our products have been born from this interaction". Comellas wanted to point out that "business is to make money, but we are companies to create the future".

The gala was an example of the change that is being experienced inside the company. Two generations, represented by the CEOs and the founder of Circutor, have met in the same space where the memory of past successes and a clearly focused look at the future of the company and the sector have converged.

Circutor has also presented the Ramon Comellas Foundation, a new project to give access to clean electricity to people living in non-electrified areas of developing countries. The project, conceived by Ramon Comellas himself, is aligned with the United Nations' sustainable development goals for 2030.

50 years of a pioneering company

Founded in 1973 by Ramon Comellas, Ramon Pons and Francesc López, three professors at the Polytechnic Institute of Terrassa, Circutor has always been a pioneer in the energy market. The company launched the first differential transformers and electromechanical relays manufactured in Spain that same year, when the Low Voltage Regulation was established, which required differential protection in electrical installations. Since then it has not stopped bringing innovative solutions to the market.

Currently, the company, based in Viladecavalls, has a team of almost 1,000 people and is present in more than 100 countries on all continents. In addition, it operates in business branches such as the measurement, control and quality of electricity supply, self-consumption, renewable energies and electric vehicle charging.
