Internationalization has brought numerous recognitions to Ecoforest in recent weeks. Its new range of geothermal heat pumps with R290 has been recognized by industry in the UK and Switzerland, while its growth in international markets has gained access to Internationalization in the SME of the Year awards organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and Banco Santander.

Last year Ecoforest launched its new models of geothermal heat pumps with R290 at the Spanish air conditioning fair CyR. Both models are the first geothermal heat pumps with R290 suitable for indoor installation. In addition, they bring all the benefits of the natural refrigerant R290 or propane to geothermal.

These new models extend the power available for geothermal with R290 up to 48 kW in cascade configuration. In addition, like the rest of the Ecoforest heat pumps, they include hybridization with photovoltaic panels as standard. These innovations received recognition from the Swiss Heat Pump Association and the UK National ACR & Heat Pump award.

Internationalization awards

In addition, Ecoforest has also been recognized in the month of April with access to Internationalization at the SME of the Year awards organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Banco Santander. King Felipe VI presided over the award ceremony, which recognized the implementation of Ecoforest Geothermia in international markets, which generates 83% of the total turnover in more than 30 countries on all continents.

The aerothermal and geothermal heat pumps manufactured by Ecoforest in its Nigrán warehouse have been installed in historic buildings such as Bath Abbey (United Kingdom) or Merode Castle (Belgium). Ecoforest currently markets heat pumps throughout Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia.

Ecoforest is committed to innovation as an integral part of its business model. The launch of new heat pumps with natural refrigerant R290 and the hybridization of series with photovoltaic panels turn Ecoforest heat pumps into highly efficient equipment, adaptable to any installation and able to bring buildings closer to zero energy consumption.

The family company Ecoforest started its activity in 1959 and in 1992 they became the first European manufacturer of pellet stoves. Since then, they have positioned themselves as market leaders in the manufacture of renewable air conditioning equipment with a catalog composed of pellet stoves and boilers, and aerothermal and geothermal heat pumps. Its factory located in Nigrán (Pontevedra) employs more than 200 people and has its own R&D department.
