Nexus Energía, an energy company and supplier, will supply green electricity to the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Over the next year, the energy company will provide a total of 7.8 GWh of 100% renewable energy, accredited by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC).
This contract is part of the framework agreement signed with the Valencian Government, which allows different public bodies to access sustainable energy supply. With this award, the company consolidates its presence in the Valencian public sector, where it already collaborates with other bodies such as the Valencian Government's Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration.
The City of Arts and Sciences is one of Spain's most representative cultural spaces, which in recent years has been carrying out projects to improve its energy efficiency and implementing renewable energy sources. Through this new contract, Nexus highlights that it is ‘reaffirming’ its ‘commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change’.
Currently, more than a hundred town councils and various institutional bodies work with Nexus Energía in the field of public tenders and energy management. The company develops solutions tailored to the needs of public administrations and participates in projects linked to energy efficiency and the objectives of energy transition and decarbonisation.
