Morillo Energy Rent will deploy more than 50,000 kVA of temporary power this summer across 64 major events in Spain and Portugal, mobilising 1,171 units including generators, lighting towers and energy storage systems, whose renewable fuel can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%.

In this context, its presence at the Sagrada Família stands out, where a crane from the company loaded a Morillo Energy Rent generator as part of preparations for Pope Leo XIV’s visit.

The company will also supply energy at other events taking place this summer, including music festivals such as Primavera Sound (where it has previously been present), Cruïlla, Icónica Sevilla Fest, Granca Live Fest and Monegros Desert Festival, as well as major sporting events such as Formula 1 and MotoGP.

“In events of this scale, sustainability is not measured only by how much energy is consumed, but by how it is used. The key lies in adapting each solution to real demand, avoiding oversizing and using more efficient technologies to reduce impact without compromising the experience,” said Rosa Morillo, President of Morillo Energy Rent, in an official press release from the company.

The summer deployment by Morillo Energy Rent is part of an industry shift towards increasingly efficient and sustainable temporary energy solutions. In addition to reducing emissions, next-generation equipment helps to reduce noise impact compared with older generators, a relevant factor in festivals, urban spaces, cultural events and venues where the sound experience is a key part of the activity.

HVO is a renewable fuel that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% over its lifecycle compared with conventional diesel, according to manufacturers and industry operators.
